Ce soir nous allons au restaurant pour déguster un repas kaiseki. C’est la grande cuisine japonaise Kyotoites. Ils mettent les petits plats dans les grands. Il faut bien sûr casser la tirelire, notre budget en a pris un coup !
Tonight we are going to the restaurant for a kaiseki meal. Great Japanese fine food. They put a lot of small dishes in a big one. We must of course break the piggy bank, our budget has taken a hit!
C’est tout un ensemble de légumes et de poissons. Un navet farci au thon cru, une tranche de patate douce cuite avec des herbes, un sushi au hareng, gâteau d’œuf et poisson et une terrine de légume décorée avec des fleurs de cerisier. Le tout était accompagné d’un saké à la prune.
It’s a whole set of vegetables and fish. A turnip stuffed with raw tuna, a slice of sweet potato cooked with herbs, a herring sushi, egg cake, fish and a vegetable terrine, decorated with cherry flowers. The whole was accompanied by a plum sake.
Boule de riz dans un bouillon. Délicieux !

Sashimi de thon, mais le meilleur morceau de thon et ça fait vraiment toute la différence, et les autres poissons on n’a pas compris ce que c’était, mais c’était très bon.
Tuna sashimi, but the best piece of tuna and it really makes all the difference, and the other fish we didn’t understand what it was, but it was very good.
Dessert à la fraise avec gelée de fraise, mousse et fraise et fraises frais. Les japonais adorent les fraises.
Strawberry dessert with strawberry jelly, mousse and strawberry. Japanese people love strawberries.
Après le repas nous avons fait un tour dans le vieux quartier de Kyoto où il y a souvent des geishas. Elle sont très difficiles à rencontrer et difficile à photographier.
